Starting a family is a magical feeling. Whether it’s naturally, through adoption or surrogacy, every couple has their own timeline and journey when it comes to welcoming children so there shouldn’t be any judgement.

Now one WAG revealed the struggles she often faces as a 38-year-old married woman with no children. Brittany Hockley Siegrist is an Australian media personality and radio host who is best known for co-hosting the Life Uncut podcast and appearing on The Bachelor Australia. She married Swiss professional footballer Benjamin Siegrist in 2024 after meeting on a celebrity dating app two years before.

The couple have balanced a long-distance relationship in the past, but Brittany, who has bravely opened up about their fertility struggles, often has to tell people why their not parents yet.

In a post on Instagram with her 290,000 followers, she said: “I’m 38. Married. I travel the world. No kids.

“Everyday I get asked why I don’t have kids or when I’m having them. That I am missing out. To that I say. I can’t fall pregnant. I hope that answers your questions.”

She then provided more context in her caption where she admitted “it’s not for a lack of trying trust me”. Brittany continued: “No harm is ever meant when people ask, I know that.

“And my answer might sound blunt. But we haven’t been able to fall pregnant. This is just the truth of it. And anyone that struggles with infertility knows, it consumes your life and your thoughts. Because I also wonder when and if we will have kids.

“It truly is exhausting. So anyone going through it, I get it. I get you. I feel you. There’s a lot of us! But I hope you’re still able to enjoy life while you’re in the thick of it because it’s easy to let it completely take over.

“But it would be a shame to miss life’s beautiful moments that are still happening. Because life is still happening, and we get just one. Hopefully it happens for us.

“Until then, I guess we just keep travelling and enjoying life and hey, trying in different tropical locations isn’t the worst.”

Over a year after walking down the aisle, the media personality and her 34-year-old footballer husband often flaunt their travels on social media. But since her candid post, the former reality star had a lot of support in the comments section.

One said: “Love you both so much, you’re living a wonderful life and if a baby comes in and adds to that wonderful life, it will be so lucky to be born into so much love and adventure.”

Another added: “What an absolutely inspiring and beautiful perspective. I wish for and honestly see only a path of happiness for you two – regardless of what that path looks like.”

The television personality tied the knot with Benjamin in a lavish Balinese ceremony in June 2025. Brittany recently announced that she was relocating to Italy to live with her husband.

If you’ve been trying for a baby without success, the general consensus is to see a GP after a year if you’re under 35, or within six months if you’re older in the UK.

In the meantime, focus on cycle tracking, limiting alcohol/caffeine, and maintaining a healthy weight.
