A devastated father suffered a fatal heart attack while racing to the scene of a car crash involving his daughter.
Gheorghe, 45, was driving his vehicle with his wife as a passenger when his heart suddenly gave out during the journey. His wife looked on in terror as he struggled to pull the car over before losing consciousness.
Medics fought for 50 minutes to save him but were unable to revive the father, who already had a stent fitted in his heart. His daughter avoided serious harm in the minor collision, but Gheorghe was apparently overwhelmed with concern.

The pair had departed from their home in the village of Vasile Alecsandri in Galaţi County, Romania, after learning of the incident.
They were travelling along the DN25 near Şendreni when Gheorghe suddenly became ill, as reported by NeedToKnow.
Using his remaining strength he managed to bring the vehicle to a safe stop at the roadside, preventing a second collision.
Passing ambulance crews noticed people assisting at the roadside and stopped to help.

Medics carried out CPR for almost an hour, but Gheorghe was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the fatal medical incident.
Traffic was temporarily held up while police managed the scene.
Gheorghe’s body was transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death.
Friends said the family is shattered as the daughter’s minor incident pales in comparison to losing her father while he was rushing to help her. The probe into his unexpected death continues.
