‘My attractive ex was an excellent lover however jealous mates ordered me to dump him’

If you have a problem that needs solving and you don’t know where to turn, look no further.

Every day, the Daily Star’s very own agony aunt Jane O’Gorman is on hand to tackle your issues and concerns with some straight-talking but sound advice.

If you want help, you can write to Just Jane, Daily Star, One Canada Square, London, E145AP or email [email protected]. Please note that Jane cannot respond to individual letters and not all problems will be published.

Sexual stamina

I dumped my ex-boyfriend because my mates said he was too unattractive to come out with us. They didn’t like him coming to pubs and clubs because he ‘let the side down’ with his ugly mush and unfashionable clothes.

I admit that he was no looker – and didn’t dress very well – but he was a brilliant lover, and I’ve not met anyone who matches his sexual stamina since we broke up in March.

The last guy I dated was good looking but didn’t make me climax once during the few weeks we were together.

In contrast my ugly ex-boyfriend had me cracking my head on the ceiling every night.

I hear that he is lonely without me. But how can I make contact again when I treated him so badly?

JANE SAYS: Maybe your ex-boyfriend didn’t tick certain boxes in the looks department, but he certainly sounds sexy and fun to be with.

If you really do want to get back with the man, then the hard work starts here. You’ve got to arrange to meet him face-to-face and apologise for being such an insensitive idiot. Ask for a second chance.

If he agrees to have you back, then you’ve got to respect and appreciate him.

As for your revolting mates, they need to be shown the door before they ruin your life and steal any chance you may have of happiness. They sound jealous to me.

Damp squib

I was ecstatic when my guy proposed to me.

He promised me a massive diamond ring and a big wedding but I’ve hardly seen or heard from him since. He keeps telling me he’s busy.

The other night I turned up on his doorstep.

He was furious and he turned everything on me.

He called me selfish and immature for hassling him.

I understand that he’s working hard ‘for us’ but I’ve got a horrible feeling that he’s having second thoughts about me. What do you think?

JANE SAYS: You’ve got to trust your instincts. Clearly a little voice in your head is telling you that your guy has had a massive change of heart. He’s gone from promising you the world to backtracking like crazy.

You’re supposed to be engaged, but you’ve got no ring; no wedding date and no fiancé by your side – what kind of engagement is that?

Of course, it’s admirable that he’s working hard, but what about the all important work/ balance?

If this is what he’s like, now, during your loved-up days, then what would married life be like?

I suggest you step back and wait for him to come to you. Sadly, I get the distinct impression that he’s changed his mind and is now regretting the proposal.

In which case you must start looking after yourself by emotionally letting go.
