I’m embarrassed to say it, but I’ve always been a bit tight-fisted when it comes to pans. Despite my love for cooking and preparing meals most days, my collection of cookware has been restricted to whatever was on special at the supermarket whenever one gave up the ghost.

The handles also remain cool, which is a bonus as I’m certain I’d forget and end up burning myself otherwise. Plus, they’re compatible with gas, electric and induction hobs, and they look absolutely stunning.

Meanwhile, even more affordable is Salter’s Timeless 5-piece set available for £65 at Argos. That includes three saucepans of varying sizes, one frying pan and a milk pan.
