Princess Eugenie provides beginning to ‘Baby Girl Brooksbank’ and is ‘past in love’
Princess Eugenie has announced the birth of a baby girl, the first daughter she has had with husband Jack Brooksbank, as she shared a photo of the newborn with her followers on Instagram

Princess Eugenie has given birth to a daughter at a hospital in Portugal, as her and husband Jack Brooksbank say they are “beyond in love”.
Eugenie gave birth yesterday (August 3) at around 6:20pm in a hospital in Lisbon with Buckingham Palace issuing a statement on the “safe arrival”. The new royal baby girl was born weighing 6lb 9oz with all members of the Royal Family “delighted” at the news.
Eugenie also broke the news of the birth to her follows on Instagram with a photo of the newborn. She wrote: “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”

This is the couple’s third child, following sons August and Ernest, and it is understood they are taking time to decide on a name.
Although yet to be officially confirmed, it is believed the newborn will replace the Duke of Edinburgh as 15 in-line for the thrown behind her siblings August and Ernest.
Eugeine remains 12th in the line of succession behind her sister Princess Beatrice and her children. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor remains 8th in line despite being stripped of his royal titles.

The birth of the baby girl is also a very rare occasion where a member of the Royal Family has been born overseas. Eugenie and her husband have a home and other connections in Portugal.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday August 3 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.
“The baby was born weighing 6lb 9oz. Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family were delighted to be informed of the news.”
