Raheem Sterling looks to be focusing on his football academy and has been seen coaching aspiring youngsters as he continues his search for a new club.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City star, 31, is currently without a team following the end of his spell with Dutch outfit Feyenoord at the end of last season. The move followed a disappointing loan spell at Arsenal during the 2024/25 season after effectively being pushed out of Chelsea by Enzo Maresca in 2024.

Upon his return to the Blues last summer, the veteran winger found himself sidelined for the first half of last season, forced to train alone after being excluded from the main club facilities. Sterling eventually parted ways with the Blues by mutual consent in January this year, signing a deal with Feyenoord until the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

However, his brief tenure in the Netherlands proved disappointing and he was not offered an extension. It followed a tough spell for the former England international, who has faced difficult times both on and off the pitch in recent years.

Now, while on the hunt for a new club as a free agent, Sterling has been keeping himself occupied by offering coaching sessions at his own RS7 Academy. Having kept a low profile due to his absence from club football, the academy’s social media channels revealed that the former England international is currently imparting his extensive experience and wisdom to young hopefuls aiming to carve out future careers in football.

He originally created the RS7 Academy while seeking a suitable training environment for his young son to thrive, away from the tactics-focused systems of Premier League academies. Merging top-tier coaching with personal development, the academy has brought in big names like Premier League icon Ashley Cole, who recently managed Serie B team Cesena FC, to lead training sessions.

The academy has also recently teamed up with UCFB (University Campus of Football), with plans for future university students to participate and gain experience within the set-up.
