Premier League followers to have the ability to watch 4 video games without delay on their TV on Sky
Sky Sports wants to put fans in greater control of the action as it happens and has come up with Your Multiview, which allows viewers to split their screen into four and watch multiple channels at once
Sports fanatics will be able to watch FOUR different live events on the one telly screen at the same time as the Premier League kicks off this week.
Sky Sports wants to put fans in greater control of the action as it happens and has come up with the idea as increasing numbers of us ‘double screen’ by watching a footie match on TV while scanning other sports on our phones.
Called Your Multiview, the new technology will allow viewers to have both the Arsenal game on alongside the Man City game, while keeping an eye on the cricket Test and Grand Prix racing.
Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, said: “There’s more live sport for fans to enjoy than ever, and we want to make it as easy as possible to follow all the action.
“With ‘Your Multiview’, viewers no longer have to choose between the biggest moments happening across multiple channels.
“It could be two exciting football matches happening at the same time, or Super Sunday coinciding with a Grand Prix and the final day of a golf Major.
“Along with scores, stats, and clips at the touch of a button, this is another way we’re making Sky the best place to watch live sport.”
It launches tomorrow (FRI) ahead of the return of the Premier League, with champions Arsenal taking on newly promoted Coventry at the Emirates Stadium in north London.
The latest innovation joins a range of new and enhanced features designed to make it easier for fans to follow the sport, teams and moments they care about this season.
There will be a Sports Hub available via Sky Glass, Sky Stream and Sky Q, which will allow viewers to see live scores, stats, tables, schedules, short-form clips and highlights at the side of the screen while watching the big match.
You’ll also be able to browse short-form sports videos in a new autoplay, scrollable experience, covering the latest news, highlights, key moments and stories from teams, leagues and competitions.
There will also be Team Pages where you can see everything about a favourite team in one place, from live games and headlines to highlights, replays and YouTube videos.
Those using the Now streaming service will also be able to access Multiview.
