King Charles ‘reminds’ William he stays no.1 regardless of return of ‘daddy’s boy’ Harry
The monarch is said to have reassured the next in line to the throne that he is his “professional priority” as Prince Harry’s return rocks the royal family
King Charles has made it clear to Prince William he is still his No 1. The monarch is said to have reassured the next in line to the throne that he is his “professional priority” as Prince Harry’s return rocks the royal family.
Wills and Hazza are somewhat estranged to say the least after the ginger whinger ditched Britain and his duties for the US.
But insiders believe the King is trying to avoid a messy falling out among the family by assuring Wills that he remains heir and of greatest importance. He will continue to be groomed for the throne regardless of any outside noise from his brother.
The Prince of Wales currently is said to want to focus on helping to secure a good start at Eton for son Prince George next month.
Some sources believe he will not be best pleased about his brother’s planned return home after Harry levelled a barrage of accusations against him.
However, neither William and Kate have reacted publicly to the news of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return.
The Sussexes will remain private individuals, in accordance with the late Queen’s belief there is no “half-in, half-out” to royal duties.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said: “The Waleses are the future of the monarchy – both of them and their children – and that is also how the public see it.”
But former Royal Butler Grant Harrold said Harry was a “daddy’s boy” in his youth and it was only ever a matter of time before he returned to rebuild his relationship with his cancer-stricken father.
Mr Harrold, who worked closely with William and Harry until 2011, said: “Harry was always going to return to the UK to be near his father.
“When you have a loved one going through different things to do with health and all sorts of other things, it makes you wonder if he [Harry] just wants to be closer.
“Everyone goes on about the close bond between the King and William but Harry was always a daddy’s boy.
“He was very much a daddy’s boy when I was there. He had an extraordinary relationship with his dad.”
The royal family are gathering at Balmoral for their summer break as Harry and Meghan announced their planned return to Britain six years after the Megxit crisis.
