Burning Man’s ‘orgy dome’ being resurrected after being blown away final yr
It’s great news for Burning Man goers who love public sex parties…the Orgy Dome is back, bigger and better than ever with a fresh design aimed at withstanding the storms

Burning Man’s infamous ‘orgy dome’ is set to return this year after being blown away by a storm in 2025. The centre for the US festival’s sex-positive workshops and public sex parties will be rebuilt with a redesigned structure, organisers say.
“We will no longer use a series of interconnected carports; our structures will now combine circus tents and an actual event dome which will serve as our main play space,” said the camp’s lead organiser ‘Baby Jesus’.
Nevada festival Burning Man begins August 30 in the Black Rock Desert and will run until September 7, organised around the theme ‘Axis Mundi’.

Organisers hope the orgy dome’s new design can withstand the desert’s notoriously unpredictable weather. Festival goers were left heartbroken when a huge gale destroyed the tent and put it out of action for a large portion of last year’s festival.
Luckily some resourceful festival goers were able to switch tack, instead using a massive pink bus as the centre for all things sex.
Baby Jesus said the effort received support from both small and large donors, allowing organisers to acquire the equipment needed to rebuild. “We are super excited to return this year, continue our mission of consent education, and make our donors and visitors proud,” Baby Jesus wrote.
Festival-goers, known as Burners, are expected to bring “all they need to survive” in the harsh desert where conditions can be “often violent and unpredictable”, and ice is the only commodity sold in the makeshift city.

During the festival, around 1,500 camps will be erected across the playa, the dried-up land on which Black Rock City sits, each hosting its own event.
Campers can participate in arts and crafts activities, yoga, meditation, and friendly ping pong tournaments. However, there’s truly something for everyone at Black Rock City – including those more risqué revellers seeking some erotic entertainment.
In recent years, many have opted for armoured bikinis or abandoned their clothes entirely, choosing body paint instead to attend the all-night raves.
