Burning Man is again with ‘Sexy Jesus’ as racy revellers informed ‘examine our d****’
WARNING, EXPLICIT CONTENT: While Burning Man revellers embrace the event’s good old spirit of self-reliance, they’re never alone. More than 1,000 camps rustle up a bonkers banquet of activities
Burning Man is back, baby, and it’s wilder than ever!
Thousands of thrill-seekers have flocked to Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to get stuck into what many are calling the “wildest festival of the year”. The eight-day extravaganza kicked off on Sunday (August 30) with festival-goers, known as Burners, setting up their themed camps across the sun-baked playa.
With only portaloos provided, these intrepid adventurers must pack whatever they need to tough it out in the extreme conditions. While they embrace the event’s good old spirit of self-reliance, they’re never alone. More than 1,000 do-it-yourself camps unite each year to rustle up a bonkers banquet of activities that really make Burning Man tick.
This year’s bash is themed Axis Mundi, which explores the concept of a cosmic centre point connecting heaven, earth and humanity, and doesn’t skimp on the zany action the program’s chock-full of bizarre happenings that’ll raise more than just eyebrows. Known for its hedonistic vibes and “erotically charged” atmosphere, it’s no shocker that a chunk of this year’s events leans toward the saucy side.
The infamous Orgy Dome is of course being erected this year after being blown away in 2025. It is perhaps one of the most recognised and main staples of the racy days-long event, which you can read about here.
Ever thought of making a print of your genitals? Look no further. Burner Baddies is a “a relaxed LGBTQI+ camp” known for genital printmaking based on a traditional Japanese technique. They will also throw in some cocktails in case you need a little help loosening up.
Perhaps as brazen as it gets is Camp Blow***, where organisers say you can “let loose and get your leaf blown”… we all know what that means. They say it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity… so better head down there quick!
Two Girls One Camp – a reference that definitely doesn’t need explaining here! This camp say they’ve been bringing “cheeky slushies and oily wrestling chaos” to Burning Man’s Center Camp since 2025. Organisers said: “We’re slinging slushies—The No.1 (Yellow) and The No.2 (Brown). Fiber-spiked for flow, booze-spiked for fun. Join us in the Center Camp Oculus for traditional coconut oil wrestling—thumbs welcome, dignity optional, hilarity guaranteed.”
Looking to inspect some dicks during Burning Man? Well, it’s definitely possible. Look for the giant LED penises lighting up the sky and you’ll soon arrive at Bag o’ D****. Organisers are inviting revellers to “inspect our d**** and form your own highly professional opinion”. You can also “warm your d*** by our bonfire most nights” too. Wholesome.
Are you raunchy but religious? No problem. Make your way to the “one-stop shop for the afterlife” dubbed The Pearly Gate , where you’re invited to bring out your “inner sexy Jesus and foxy Mary”, talk through your sins and salvations or go to their fetish ball. Yeah, we’ve got no clue what this is either.
Lastly and by no means least is the Bikini Bottom(less) camp, which is pretty self-explanatory and a violation to SpongeBob SquarePants fans. “Campy, colourful, and delightfully ridiculous…join some of the best-known sea creatures on the playa”, say organisers.
People can start their days with morning Tai Chi, then drift over for daily bottomless mimosas (you and your drink can be bottomless if desired). Then there’s the Naked Beer Mile: four beers, one mile, zero clothes, maximum glory.
Sound fun or revolting? We’ll leave that judgement to you.
