Football star in hospital receiving ‘specialist’ care after severe street site visitors accident
Former Aston Villa and Wolves forward Jordan Graham is receiving specialist care in hospital after being involved in a serious road traffic accident earlier this month

Former Aston Villa and Wolves forward Jordan Graham is receiving ‘specialist’ care in hospital after being involved in a serious road traffic collision earlier this month.
A statement released by the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA), on behalf of Graham’s family, said: “Earlier this month Jordan Graham was involved in a serious road traffic accident and is currently receiving specialist treatment in hospital. His family are incredibly grateful for the care he is receiving.
“They respectfully ask for privacy and that people refrain from contacting them directly while they focus entirely on Jordan and his recovery. Further information will only be provided when appropriate.”
Graham, 31, progressed through the youth system at Aston Villa and signed a two-year professional deal in March 2012. However, he failed to make a single senior appearance for the Villans, spending spells on loan at Ipswich Town, Bradford City and Wolves before completing a permanent switch to Molineux in January 2015.
He struggled for regular game time at Wolves and was again sent out on loan to Oxford United, Fulham, Ipswich for a second spell, and Gillingham. After playing just 17 first-team matches across five years, Graham’s time at Wolves ended in May 2020 when he departed the club upon the expiry of his contract.

The forward, born in Coventry, returned to Gillingham on a permanent basis and shone in his first full season with the Kent club, netting 13 goals and providing nine assists in 44 appearances. His impressive form earned him a move back to the Championship as Birmingham City snapped him up in June 2021 on a two-year contract.
However, Graham had a challenging stint at Blues, spending two years there without scoring and contributing just five assists in 54 games. He was let go in June 2023 and made a return to League One with Leyton Orient.
Hoping for a fresh start at Orient after a tough spell at St Andrew’s, Graham instead faced a horrific couple of years plagued by injuries, suffering two ruptures of his patella tendon in his left knee. This followed an earlier Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear in the same left knee during his time with Wolves.
Graham departed Orient at the end of his contract in June 2025 and has been clubless since then. He spent the previous season as a free agent, working alongside the PFA over the summer in an attempt to secure a new club.

News emerged on Monday afternoon that Graham had been involved in a car accident, prompting a wave of supportive messages from former clubs and fans alike.
A statement from Gillingham read: “Everyone at the club is thinking of Jordan and his family at this time. We wish him a full and swift recovery.”
Birmingham stated: “Everyone at Blues sends their best wishes to Jordan at this incredibly difficult time. KRO.
“Sending our best wishes to Jordan Graham. The former O is receiving specialist care in hospital after recently being involved in a serious car accident. We’re all with you, JG,” Leyton Orient added.
“All at Ipswich Town are thinking of Jordan and his family at this very difficult time,” Ipswich said.
