With Halloween just around the corner, it’s time to let your pets get in on the spooky fun too – because this year, it’s all about having a ‘pawsitively’ petrifying time. Pets at Home has launched a hair-raising range for the occasion, featuring costumes, bedding, toys and treats with a ghoulish twist.
There are dozens of new additions for dog and cat owners looking to get their furry friends involved in the Halloween celebrations, while giving their homes a scary spruce-up in the process. One of the highlights loved by our shopping experts with cats or little dogs at home is the Coffin Pet Bed, priced at £18.
Shaped like a coffin and complete with a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on its ‘door’, the bed is also perfect for pets to curl up in on chilly autumn evenings thanks to its cosy, den-like design. For bigger dogs, the Spider Pet Bed is another snuggly option, available in medium for £20 or large for £32, with a soft, round bed complete with spooky spider legs.

When it comes to Halloween outfits, one of our favourite picks is the Little Pumpkin Dog Sweater, guaranteed to have pooches looking autumn-ready while getting into the spooky spirit. The cream knitted jumper is finished with ‘Little Pumpkin’ embroidered in orange across the back and costs £10, with sizes ranging from extra small to large – so it’s suitable for everyone from tiny Yorkies and pugs to bigger Staffies and Labradors.
It’s proven particularly popular on the Pets at Home socials, with one pet parent commenting: “The little pumpkin jumper has my heart.” While another added: “We are obsessed.” Though one seemed disappointed that there weren’t more options for small animals such as hamsters and guinea pigs, writing: “Nothing for small animals?”

Pets at Home is offering costumes, beds, toys, treats and more for pets this Halloween.
For pups ready to go all-out this Halloween, the Pumpkin Dog Costume is seriously cute, transforming your four-legged friend into a little pumpkin complete with a matching pumpkin hat. It costs £8 and comes in small, medium and large, while dogs who aren’t quite so keen on dressing up can still join the fun with the £2 Pumpkin Dog Bowtie – a much more subtle way to add a spooky touch.
Additional costume choices are available at supermarkets, with Sainsbury’s offering a Halloween Rollneck Jumper for £6 as part of its Rosewood Spirit & Spook range. Tesco also stocks a Halloween Pumpkin Dog Jumper for £9.99 for a charming and snug way to join in the spooky celebrations.
Elsewhere on the high street, B&M has also launched a Halloween range for pets. The collection ranges from rope toys inspired by pumpkins, zombies and vampires to striped black and orange pumpkin jumpers and spider costumes, with prices starting from £1.

Back at Pets at Home, another simple way to get your pets ready for Halloween is with the £8 Vampire Dog Cape, which exudes Dracula vibes with its sleek black and red design. The £10 Glow in the Dark Skeleton Dog Onesie is also a timeless choice that’s bound to be popular for twilight strolls this October.
Cats, on the other hand, can snuggle up in the Pumpkin Pet Bed or the Monster Brew Cauldron Pet Bed, priced at £16 and £20 respectively. Our feline pals can also enjoy some spine-chilling new toys, including a set of six Disney Villains Maleficent Cat Toys for £9, featuring catnip, crinkles, bells, ribbons and feathers for plenty of indoor fun.
Fans of a certain 80s franchise will also notice a pair of Warner Bros Gremlins Squeaky Dog Toys for £12, featuring Gizmo and a companion who’s clearly been fed after midnight. More cinematic favourites turned into Halloween gifts for pets include Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees plush dog toys, priced at £6 each.

Additional costumes for our canine friends in the new Halloween collection include the Lil’ Devil Dog Hoodie for £10 — complete with horns and a pointed tail — and the Bat Dog Costume with wings and fangs for £8. Available in a variety of sizes, these costumes are designed to be easy to put on and take off, so as not to test your pup’s patience during Halloween photoshoots.
