Urgent recall issued for five chocolate bars bought at Aldi, Lidl and Home Bargains

The Food Standards Agency issued safety alerts for several products sold in major supermarkets, including Aldi, Home Bargains, and Lidl

British food shoppers have been advised to carefully inspect their kitchen cupboards due to multiple urgent recalls affecting various popular products and sweet treats sold at leading supermarkets, including Aldi, Home Bargains, and Lidl, reports the Express.

The Food Standards Agency has issued a series of safety alerts for numerous products, with many sweet treats being pulled from shelves this week due to either undeclared allergens or possible contamination. Notably, one product poses a health risk due to the absence of allergen information in English.

Here is the full list of recalled products issued this week.

Aldi Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um’s

A precautionary recall has been initiated by Aldi for its Dairyfine Crispy Choc Um’s, as the product may contain peanuts, potentially posing a severe health risk to those with a peanut allergy.

According to the FSA: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”
