Teen woman vanishes after climbing into automotive on Halloween as police situation pressing warning
A teenage girl has disappeared from a rural Devon village after she was last spotted climbing into a car on Halloween.
Officers have appealed for witnesses to step forward if they’ve spotted her and say they are becoming “increasingly concerned” for Rosie who vanished after getting into a Vauxhall Astra five days ago. The teen has connections to the Taunton and Bridgwater areas and was last spotted in Holcombe Rogus – a rural Devon village – just before 5pm.
Avon and Somerset Police has launched an urgent hunt for the schoolgirl, appealing to anyone with information about her whereabouts to get in touch.

Rosie is described as being white, and roughly 5ft2 inches tall with straight brown hair.
Avon and Somerset Police said: “Can you help us find missing Rosie, 15, who was last seen getting into a blue Vauxhall Astra, in Holcombe Rogus, at around 4.45pm on Friday 31 October. We are growing concerned for her welfare. If you know where Rosie is, please call 999 quoting reference 5225308184.”, reports the Mirror.
Worried members of the public have expressed their concern for the 15 year old, whose missing persons appeal is being circulated across Facebook groups.
One user said: “I hope she gets back home to her family soon safe and well,” while another replied: “I hope she’s either found soon or she takes herself to a police station.” A third said: “Please be home safe.”
The Daily Star previously reported a panicked mum and dad were left gobsmacked after they discovered their missing four-year-old lad trapped inside a claw machine.
Luana Cardozo and Fábio Oliveira had been taking it in turns to watch little Heitor in the children’s play area of a pizzeria last Wednesday (October 22) when he suddenly disappeared.
Remarkably, the mischievous tot had managed to squeeze into the glass toy grabber, surrounded by plush animals. Customers and workers watched in amazement as the tiny adventurer sat among the soft toys, before a security guard intervened to safely extract him, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Luana, 27, said: “We were celebrating my nephew’s birthday with the family, and my son was playing in the kids’ area.
“My husband and I were taking turns keeping an eye on him.
“The moment my husband came over to call me to the table, it only took a few minutes for him to end up inside the machine.”
The hairdresser confessed she was terrified when she spotted her son confined inside the claw machine at Sem Limite Pizzeria in São João de Meriti, near Rio de Janeiro – but relief swiftly followed.
