BREAKING Horror Asda stabbing as lady attacked in Derby with particular person charged

A suspect has been charged after a woman was stabbed outside an Asda supermarket in Derby on November 5. Armed police officers raced to the scene after the woman was left injured in the horrifying incident.

Derbyshire Constabulary were called to reports that a woman had been injured outside the major supermarket in Arleston Lane, Sinfin, after 8.35pm. Officers have arrested and now charged Lisa Kelly, of Burton Road, Derby, in relation to the incident.

The 40-year-old has been charged for multiple offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of Class A drugs, two counts of being in possession of a bladed article in a public place, and theft.

The victim, a woman in her 40s, was sent to hospital after sustaining none life-threatening injuries to her arm and hand.

Lisa Kelly has been remanded into custody and was due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday. The number of officers in the area increased following the incident.

In a previous statement, Derbyshire Constabulary said: “Officers are appealing for the public’s help after a woman was stabbed outside a city supermarket.

“We were called to reports that a woman had been injured outside the Asda in Arleston Lane, Sinfin, just after 8.35pm yesterday.

“Armed officers quickly attended the scene to search for the suspect – a woman believed to be in her 40s and known to the victim.

“She was not located by officers at the scene and there are ongoing attempts to locate the suspect. The victim, a woman in her 40s, suffered an injury to her arm and hand. She remains in hospital and her injuries are not life-threatening.

“Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to officers. Of particular interest are any drivers who may have dashcam footage of the incident or the moments before or after.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact the force using any of the below methods, including reference 25*650066.”

Meanwhile, two teenagers have reportedly been stabbed in a street in Manchester on Monday night. Police have taped off St John’s Road and Stockport Road.

Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to Dickenson Road, in Longsight, shortly after 9.30pm. The victims have reportedly been rushed to hospital. The victims, reportedly two males thought to be around the age of 18, were found with stab wounds.

Two male suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, GMP said. One was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody, while the other was transferred from hospital to custody.
