Horror in Stafford McDonald’s as man dies in ‘medical emergency’ as 10 police vehicles swarm
Ten police cars and two ambulances rushed to the fast food restaurant at Stafford Trade Centre where a diner was having a ‘medical episode’ – he was later pronounced dead
A man has died after a ‘medical emergency’ at a McDonald’s restaurant. Emergency services – including 10 police cars and two ambulances – rushed to the chain at Stafford Trade Centre, just off Eccleshall Road in Stafford, just after 6.20pm last night (November 17).
Customers were reportedly turned away while the horror event unfolded and witnesses said staff were “visibly upset.” Emergency services were reportedly seen near the toilet area of the branch, but this has not been confirmed.
Readers told Stoke on Trent Live: “Something has happened at McDonald’s in Stafford. There’s at least 10 police cars and two ambulances. The windows have been taped up and there’s no entry. The police are turning people away. It’s obviously something serious.”
Another reader of StokeonTrentLive told them: “We went to use the drive-thru which was shut, so had to turn around on the car park.”
Others customers have said they were asked to leave the restaurant after police arrived on scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a medical emergency. Crews arrived to find a man in a critical condition and administered advanced life support.
“Sadly, nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene a short time later,” reports Stoke on Trent Live.
Staffordshire Police and McDonald’s have been contacted regarding the incident.
