Alex Scott makes ‘passionate’ bed room admission as Jess Glynne drops main trace
I’m A Celeb star Alex Scott has opened up about her relationship with singer Jess Glynne as the Arsenal and England legend discussed what makes bedding a woman “completely different”
Arsenal and England legend Alex Scott has admitted the emotional connection with a female partner has allowed her to be more intimately passionate in the bedroom.
TheI’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star has discussed The couple publicly revealed their relationship in late 2023 and it was during Wednesday’s episode of the ITV show that the 41-year-old opened up about her sexuality in a candid admission.
Discussing her personal experiences of being in relationships with men and woman, the defender turned BBC Sport, BT Sport and Sky Sports pundit and presenter revealed the deeper connection she had with her partner, the more passionate the sex was.
Scott said: “It’s completely different with women, especially for me it’s always been about a deep emotional connection which then makes the sex more passionate than ever anyway because you have such a deep bond between you.
“I had relationships with men throughout my life, there was always something missing for me that I’d never have with a woman. My first [sexual experience] with a woman was when I was 17, I was fighting it. I’d go back to men between because for me, it’s always about the connection.
“I am attracted to men still, but literally that connection would just wear off for me. And then I’m like ‘well. I’m not enjoying the sex anymore’.”
Scott’s personal revelation came after she teased a potential wedding for herself and Glynne when asked by Ruby Wax whether marriage was a possibility for the pair.
To which Scott replied: “I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!” As expected, Glynne was watching at home and took to her Instagram Stories to add to the excitement as she wrote: “I better go get a ring.”
Scott and Glynne made their relationship public months after they spotted attending numerous events together. They were also spotted sharing a kiss during a stroll which only fuelled speculation that they were an item.
The Football Focus host opened up about her relationship history in her memoir How (Not) To Be Strong, where she revealed she had an eight-year relationship with Arsenal and England team-mate Kelly Smith.
Admitting to falling “madly and deeply in love” with Smith, Scott said despite the heartbreak she went through, she wouldn’t change the experience she had. The ex-Lioness wrote: “For me, it’s like that first love story. I fell madly and deeply in love.
“Yes, there’s that heartbreak and those things, but it’s a huge part of my life and I wouldn’t go back and change that. Because that feeling of love and that excitement and what it gives you, it needed to be in there.”
Scott also previously went on a date with Coronation Street actor Sam Robertson, admitting it was “disastrous” thanks to the media. “My one date in ages was going out with Sam [Robertson], who is lovely,” she told The Sun in 2022.
“The next morning, our pictures were all over the press because someone in the restaurant had taken a photo. It wasn’t exactly a great start!”
