BREAKING Man who stabbed pal whereas she was sleeping as he ‘needed to lash out’ learns his destiny

A man who stabbed a woman to death because he wanted to “lash out” has been jailed for life. Ernestas Juska, 21, “spoke of the excitement he felt in the moments leading up to this barbaric murder”, police said.

Juska pleaded guilty to murdering Nina Denisova, 39, in her sleep and committing a sexual offence against her at his home in Henderson Drive, Dartford, in August 2024.

He repeatedly stabbed Ms Denisova, a family friend, while she was sleeping before asking a passer-by to call police because he’d killed someone. Juska was jailed for life with a minimum term of 24 years and seven months at Maidstone Crown Court today. In addition, he received a 30-month concurrent sentence for the sexual penetration of a corpse.

A Kent Police spokesperson said Juska admitted he wanted to hurt someone, but not someone who was close to him. They said after drinking alcohol and taking cocaine the night before, Juska then took a knife from the kitchen to kill Ms Denisova in the bedroom where she was sleeping.

DS Max Gregory said Juska “spoke of the excitement he felt in the moments leading up to this barbaric murder” during his police interview. He said: “The depravity of Juska’s actions is almost indescribable.

“For Juska to then commit further heinous acts on the deceased woman is beyond comprehension. Juska’s crimes have ultimately led to the senseless loss of a beloved daughter and sister and our thoughts remain with her family.”

Juska is seen sat cross-legged on the side of the street before being arrested by officers following the attack in footage caught on police body-cam.

Will Bodiam, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “For unimaginable reasons, he carried out a violent and sustained attack on a woman he knew. Today he has had no option but to plead guilty to this horrendous act.”
