More than £12 million in National Lottery prizes is still sitting unclaimed, draw bosses have revealed. And one mystery winner has just weeks left before their chance to cash in disappears.

BOYLE Lotto said there are three unclaimed jackpots in the UK, including two £1 million wins and an eye-watering £10.6 million sum. Each player now faces a race against time to come forward before the deadlines expire.

A BOYLE Lotto spokesperson said: “It’s incredible to think there could be brand-new millionaires out there completely unaware of their luck. We’d urge everyone to check old tickets – whether they’re tucked in coat pockets, glove boxes, or drawers – before these life-changing prizes disappear.”

Winners have around six months to claim their bunce before it goes to the National Lottery’s Community Fund, which supports good causes across the country.

The first outstanding prize, worth £1 million, was won in the Lotto draw on May 24 after one ticket bought in Birmingham matched five numbers plus the bonus ball.

And the winner has a deadline of November 20 to cash in. Another £1 million prize remains unclaimed from the EuroMillions draw on August 15 through the Millionaire Maker code.

The winner also comes from Birmingham and must come forward by February 11, 2026. The largest unclaimed loot stands at £10,633,323, from the Lotto draw on October 4, 2025.

The person who bought the ticket in the London Borough of Bexley has until April 2, 2026, to make their claim. Anyone who suspects they may be sitting on a winning ticket can visit the National Lottery website, which lists all current unclaimed prizes and explains how to claim them.

It comes after a UK ticket-holder scooped £25.7 million EuroMillions jackpot earlier this month, marking the fourth UK winner this year. Earlier wins this year include £65 million on Valentine’s Day, and a mega £83 million jackpot in January.

Earlier this week, we reported how it’s been three decades since Mark Gardiner, a glazier from East Sussex, scooped an eye-watering £11 million in the National Lottery – one of the largest jackpots in UK history at the time.

The year was 1995, and the total prize pot stood at a staggering £22,590,829, which Mark shared with his business partner, Paul Maddison.

Following his windfall, Mark embarked on a lavish spending spree, splashing out on a football club in Hastings and a holiday home in sunny Barbados.

However, with hindsight, he admitted he would have done things differently. He still plays the lottery, hoping to strike it rich once more with the same lucky numbers.

Reflecting on the whirlwind days following his win, he told the Mail: “Some days I would wake up to find just two or three reporters outside, but on other days, it could be more than 10,” reports the Manchester Evening News.

He added: “Within a month I received my first threat of legal action, from a former girlfriend who claimed I was the father of her child and wanted money for the child’s upkeep.”
