Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood has appeared in court accused of rape and sexual assault.
The 68-year-old has been charged with 15 sexual offences relating to alleged attacks on seven women.
On Monday, he appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court. Westwood entered the dock wearing a grey shirt and black jeans for his five-minute hearing.
He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
In total, the former DJ faces nine counts of indecent assault, two counts of sexual assault, and four counts of rape.
He is accused of indecently assaulting a woman over 16 years of age three times at the BBC studios, forcing himself on her, groping her breasts and kissing the victim around 1996.
Westwood is also alleged to have raped a woman at a London hotel in 1996 and sexually assaulted another woman at a music festival in the city around 20 years later.
Today he was released on conditional bail after his lawyer Orla Daly argued that Westwood should be allowed to travel abroad.

The former BBC DJ, who returned to the UK from Nigeria last week, was not asked to enter pleas to any of the charges.
Westminster Magistrates Court heard he has attended five voluntary police interviews since the investigation into the alleged offences began.
Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring ordered Westwood not to contact prosecution witnesses ahead of his trial.
He will next appear at Southwark Crown Court on December 8.
Mr Westwood has previously said he ‘strongly denies all allegations of inappropriate behaviour’.
He left his show on Capital Xtra in April 2022, after ending his 20-year long career at Radio 1 and Radio 1Xtra in 2013.
