Donald Trump allegedly told friends he was “banging” his 28-year-old White House assistant, a prominent author claimed in an unpublished draft that was seen in the released Jeffrey Epstein emails
President Donald Trump allegedly told his friends that he was “banging” his 28 year old White House assistant, according to claims made by a renowned author to Jeffrey Epstein.
Michael Wolff, who has penned several articles and books on Trump, had made the allegation during a draft of part of a book that was shared with disgraced Epstein over an email from 2019.
In the email, Wolff names the assistant as Madeleine Westerhout. Westerhout deemed the claims in Wolff’s email as “absurd” and “unhinged from reality”, as reported by the Mirror.
The email has been released as part of the bombshell 23,000 documents of correspondence handed to Congress by Epstein’s estate.
Wolff’s draft recounts Trump’s decision to spend Christmas 2018 at the White House instead of joining his family at his Mar A Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. First Lady Melania Trump had already departed for Florida but returned briefly to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Washington DC.
However, in a passage – later edited to conceal the identity of the aide in his 2019 book ‘Siege’ – Wolff alleged: “In an empty White House, Trump’s personal secretary, 28-year-old Madeleine Westerhout, brought his papers and call sheets from the West Wing up to the residence, finding him, she told friends, in his underwear.”
Ms Westerhout was a long-serving member of Trump’s team and previously worked as an elevator attendant at Trump Tower during the transition period. The draft states: “[Steve] Bannon recalled noting that Trump took a particular interest in her. A leering Trump kept repeating, “She’s got a way about her,” his signature, and creepy, stamp of approval for young women.”
Wolff continued: “Now the president was telling friends that he wasn’t staying at the White House because of the shutdown – he was staying because he was ‘banging’ Madeleine. Shutdown bravado? Locker room talk? Or all part of a new alternative reality that only he seemed to be living in?”
Speaking through her solicitor, Ms Westerhout responded: “These are absurd and defamatory accusations from a discredited writer who has been known to peddle falsehoods. The lies in this email are unhinged from reality and simply not true.”
In her 2020 memoir, titled “Off the Record”, Ms Westerhout details her dismissal from the White House team following indiscreet remarks she made to journalists about the President’s family.
However, the book contains no reference to any sexual involvement between herself and the President.
In the book’s acknowledgements section, she penned: “I must give a special thanks to President Trump. The more than two and a half years I spent sitting outside the Oval Office were the most exciting of my life. I wish everyone could get to know him the way I did. They would never doubt how much he loves this country.”
President Trump has dismissed the release of the files as a “hoax” and a “scam”, claiming it’s a diversion tactic from the Democrats’ ‘defeat’ in the government shutdown battle.
He posted on Truth Social last night: “This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats. Records show that these men, and many others, spent large portions of their life with Epstein, and on his ‘Island’. Stay tuned!!!”
Trump recalled spending Christmas 2018 alone at the White House due to the government shutdown sparked by a Congressional deadlock over his demand for $5billion funding for his border wall. “I am all alone (poor me) in the White House,” he tweeted on December 23.
“Waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security.”
Melania made her return from Mar a Lago on Christmas Eve for an event where she and the President spoke on the phone to children tracking Santa’s global journey. During this event, Trump asked a seven year old child: “Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at 7 it’s marginal, right?” Wolff’s book reveals that Melania was “furious” about the exchange.
“Melania didn’t think that was funny,” he quoted one aide as saying. “Clearly a guy who had never dealt with a seven-year-old.”
