A man remains in hospital with serious injuries after falling from height at a block of flats in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire – police have arrested a 37-year-old man

A man has been rushed to hospital after reportedly “falling from height” from a block of flats. Another man has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident.

West Yorkshire Police were called to a block of flats at Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge, this morning (November 27) following reports that an individual had “fallen from height,” reports Yorkshire Live.

Eyewitnesses sharing their accounts on Facebook claimed they spotted a Yorkshire Air Ambulance hovering over the scene, and a police cordon was erected, blocking access to the block of flats.

A statement from West Yorkshire Police said: “At 10.06 this morning (November 27) officers were called to a block of flats on Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge to reports a person had fallen from height.”

They added, “A 25-year-old man has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault. A scene is in place whilst enquiries are carried out.”

Forensic teams are believed to be focusing their efforts between the 8th and 9th floors of the building, as the investigation continues.
