Man raped and robbed in Crawley city centre as police launch CCTV pictures

Police have launched an appeal for assistance following an alleged rape and robbery of a man in a town centre assault. Detectives have issued CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to regarding reports of sexual assault and theft in Crawley.

Sussex Police stated: “We received a report that a man aged in his 30s had been attacked at an address in the High Street on 15 October in the early hours. The suspect also stole his watch and cash before making off.”

Specially trained officers are providing support to the victim. Detective Inspector Becki Buckley commented: “We are continuing to make extensive enquiries in this case and are keen to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him, please contact us quoting serial 119 of 15/10.
