A child rapist with the word ‘survivor’ tattooed on his face has been jailed for 14 years.
Thomas Green, 28, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, was handed the sentence after he forced himself on a schoolgirl before threatening to kill her if she told anyone.
Police were alerted after the victim told her mother what had happened, Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard.
In January, the girl disclosed she had been raped by him in summer of 2024.
Green pled guilty to two charges of raping a child under 16, one count of sexual activity with a child under 16 and for breaching a restraining order.
The 28-year-old was branded ‘especially dangerous’ by a judge and must serve three years on an extended license after being released.
He has also been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Following the sentencing, Detective Constable Katy Jones, who worked on the case, said: ‘I am pleased that we’ve been able to secure this outcome against a sex offender who committed crimes against a child in our community.

‘The victim has shown enormous strength in reporting what Green did.
‘I would urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual offences to report it to us.
‘You will be listened to and supported by specially trained officers, who will do everything in their power to see that justice is done.’
Anis Ali, defending Green, said the paedophile was ‘relatively immature and troubled’.
‘His expressions of remorse and regret are genuine. He recognises the real effect it had upon her. There is very real embarrassment and shame,’ he said.
Mr Ali added that Green’s prospects of rehabilitation are ‘relatively positive’ and ‘there is nothing to indicate in my submission he is dangerous’.
