While the demotion of Toffee Crisps from being labelled as chocolate may seem insignificant, I’d argue it points to a larger issue – a cultural deficit of reality. 

From our furnishings to our clothing and jewellery, synthetic substitutions have become commonplace, but should that be the case for our foods?
