EXCLUSIVE: The Daily Star has been testing out all the vegan products you can shake a carrot at, and has come up with a guide to keep you fed long into the new year
Veganuary is well and truly underway – but let’s be honest, outside of this one month social media-friendly fads, not many people will stick with it.
However, fear not, dear Daily Star reader, because we at DS towers have your back. For the last several weeks, we’ve been trying the best food, drinks and even beauty products under the vegan category and have put together a handy guide to what we hope will keep you going long into 2026 with the vegan frame of mind.
From meal prep boxes to unique drinks – and even a pan to cook it in – read on to see what our top Veganuary products and brands are for 2026.
Clearspring
Clearspring has long been a champion of authentic, organic Japanese foods rooted in sustainability and purity. We tried several products from the iconic brand, and found that the seaweed crisps are quite possibly the best snack to keep you from getting hungry all the time.
Known as “seaveg crispies” the seaweed things come in various flavours, with our favourite being ginger.
A subtle sweetness and heat mixed with the seaweed’s umami flavour makes this a winner.
Grubby
Grubby is my top product of this guide, and it offers 100% plant-based meal kits focused on flavour and simplicity. They prioritise sustainability through ethical sourcing, recyclable packaging, and carbon-neutral deliveries.
With more than 50 weekly recipes and quick prep times, it’s a convenient, eco-conscious choice for vegans and “flexitarians” seeking high-quality, chef-designed vegetable dishes.
I tried two competitors alongside – Hello Fresh and Planty – and I felt that Grubby was far superior.
From quality to packaging, Grubby stands out as a clear winner, and getting their meals delivered regularly would keep your vegan appetite going long into this year.
Rebel Kitchen Coconut Water
It’s water. It’s coconut. It’s coconut water! Yes, this very much does what it says on the time – or bottle – but it adds a lot to your daily grind when you’re drinking something that isn’t just coffee or water.
I actually felt really refreshed after a bottle of this, and it comes highly recommended by me . . . and my daughter, who is six.
Napiers
We tried a lot of Napier products, and didn’t find a single fault with any of them. To confirm, they’re not edible . . .
Over the last 165 years, Napiers has become one of the UK’s leading names in complementary & natural health care. They are dedicated to the best of health and wellbeing through the use of herbal medicine and other natural therapies – and have a lot of vegan products on offer.
They’ve changed my daily and nightly routine (I now use several of these products, having gone from never using any facial products bar shower gels). They’re also not that expensive for a product of this quality.
Here’s what we tried:
- Napiers Rowan Brightening Gel Cleanser
- Napiers Rowan Moisture Formula
- Napiers Speedwell Ageless Day Cream
- Napiers Speedwell Ageless Night Cream
- Napiers Eyebright Cream
- Napiers Frankincense Nourish Night Cream
- Napiers Mother of All Silver Miracle Face Mask
- Napiers Mother of All Silver Miracle Cream
- Napiers Capsicum & Ginger Warming Cream
- Napiers Magnesium Muscle & Sleep Cream
Elyse
Elyse is a functional fragrance house founded by Carol Mead, redefining the role of scent in our daily lives. Born from a personal healing journey, Elyse moves beyond traditional Fragrance to offer 100% natural, plant-based blends that harness the vibrational power of botanicals to shift mood, restore balance, and reconnect mind, body, and spirit.
I’ve been using this A LOT . . . mainly during stressful work shifts, and it really does work. The Scillian lemon/coconut/neroli and bergamot flavour is very good.
Circulon
If you’re hoping to keep Veganuary going long into 2026, you’ll need a decent pan to make life easier. I’ve been using the ScratchDefense Extreme Non-Stick Chef’s Pan & Lid with Helper Handle, which has actually changed the way I cook.
I’ve never used a pan like it before, where I really don’t have to worry about it at all. It cooks anything and everything, and nothing at all sticks to it. You’ve heard of a bag for life, this is a pan for life.
