American rock climber Alex Honnold says he ‘could die’ as he attempts to scale the Taipei 101 skyscraper in Taiwan’s capital city.
Honnold will take on one of Asia’s tallest skyscrapers, a staggering 1,667ft tower, without the use of safety ropes or any other equipment during a live broadcast on Netflix.
The star, who featured in the 2019 Oscar-winning documentary Free Solo, said: “The shape of the building is such that you actually could fall in tons of places and not actually die, which makes it in some ways safer than a lot of rock-climbing objectives.”
