David and Victoria Beckham’s daughter Harper has posted on Instagram for the first time since brother Brooklyn’s explosive statement attacking their parents
Harper Beckham has broken her silence following her elder brother Brooklyn’s explosive rant targeting their parents David and Victoria.
Aspiring photographer Brooklyn, 26, unleashed a furious tirade on Instagram on Monday, claiming that his parents had attempted to undermine his marriage to Nicola Peltz, 31. Victoria was reportedly left devastated upon discovering the statement, in which Brooklyn also accused his mum of dancing ‘inappropriately’ with him during his wedding ceremony.
The former Spice Girl has remained silent about the accusations so far. Harper, 14, has also kept quiet, although she did take to Instagram on Friday to praise her brother Romeo – who has reportedly blocked Brooklyn on social platforms – for his modelling work in Paris.
Posting a monochrome image of the 23-year-old walking the runway in the French capital during Paris Fashion Week, she wrote: “Yet again! ! Another amazing show x @romeobeckham @willychavarria [black love heart emoji].”, reports the Mirror.
It marks the teenager’s first social media activity since Brooklyn’s incendiary statement was published. Fashion mogul Victoria was quick to show support for her middle son Romeo’s accomplishment, simply posting: “Proud,” alongside footage of him on the catwalk. Brother Cruz chimed in with: “Ohhhhhh yeahhhhhh.”
Romeo’s partner, Kim Turnbull, also showed her enthusiasm, writing: “Goooooooo baby go.”
Brooklyn made reference to his siblings in his furious declaration, alleging they had been “sent to attack him”, writing: “Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last summer. “
Claiming that “Brand Beckham” comes before everything else, he added: “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first. Family ‘love’ is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.”
Harper, meanwhile, was always close to her oldest brother but since the feud, which kicked off last year, gathered fuel, they have struggled to keep their bond. Brooklyn is reportedly finding it “difficult” to maintain his relationship with the teenager and instead wants to shield his little sister from the fallout, which is proving difficult, given that she lives with their parents, Sir David and Lady Victoria.
Reports have claimed that the couple would ‘take Brooklyn back in a minute’ despite his explosive statement. But speaking to the Mirror about the fallout, a source said the former Spice Girl felt betrayed by her son and his wife.
The source added: “Victoria feels betrayed because she’d done everything she can to make them both feel welcome and Nicola like another daughter. But she feels it’s been thrown back in her face.”
