Shamed Sarah Ferguson is holed up at a swanky Irish wellness retreat in a bid to keep a low profile amid growing scandal around her ties to dead paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, it has been claimed.

The disgraced ex-duchess, 66, has not been seen in public since late September, just before the release of files relating to the disgraced financier revealed her friendship with him lasted much longer than she had previously publicly stated.

She was said to have fled the UK after grovelling emails exposed the depths of her and ex-hubby Andy Windsor’s connections to Epstein when they were made public by US officials.

It had been speculated she visited the United Arab Emirates and she reportedly spent January at the world-renowned £13,000-a-day Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland.

Now it is claimed she has since been staying at a second similar retreat, the Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa in Donegal, Ireland, where rooms start from £113 per night. She was reportedly spotted at a local airport earlier this month.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Last time Sarah visited Donegal, she spoke about how it was somewhere she could escape to when things were ‘overwhelming’ – and they can’t ever have been more overwhelming for her than they have been in recent weeks.

“And just as she did with the Zurich trip, she knew what she was going to in Donegal, as she’d been there before and that it was very remote and very discreet, so there was minimal chance of her presence becoming known to the wider world.

“She seems to be very keen indeed to avoid being seen while she works out what to do next.”

The 40-bedroom spa in Donegal recently reopened after a £1.5million refurbishment and is located on Ireland’s scenic Wild Atlantic Way. Fergie has ancestral roots in Ireland and previously said in an interview “Ireland gave me back my life” following her divorce.

She previously stayed at Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa in 2024 when she posted on her TikTok account a clip of her filming from a local beach and said: “I find things get sometimes overwhelming, I just try and take myself off to the most beautiful, wonderful blast of fresh air.”

Fergie was last pictured publicly on September 25, 2025, when she was being driven out of Royal Lodge in Windsor, where she lived with ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor until they were booted out by King Charles.

The row came after it emerged that she wrote to convicted sex offender Epstein, calling him a “supreme friend” despite publicly disowning him, including one that read: “I am at your service. Just marry me.”
