Making family fun cheaper, the new deal offers entrance for one adult and one child under 5, with extra littles ones just £5
Alton Towers has unveiled a new online deal designed to help parents with young children enjoy a day at the park for less. Under the offer, an adult and toddler can visit for under half the usual £68 on-the-gate price of a standard single-day ticket.
With warmer weather on the way, families can take advantage of entry to Alton Towers Resort on off-peak days for just £29 for one adult and one child. Although the passes aren’t valid at weekends or during school holidays, they offer a great chance to explore the park while avoiding the busiest periods.
A major draw for little ones is CBeebies Land – a fun-packed, child-friendly area full of themed rides, interactive play zones and live shows inspired by much-loved TV favourites such as Postman Pat, Octonauts and In the Night Garden.
Each ticket covers one toddler (measuring between 90cm and five years old) plus one accompanying parent or guardian. Additional toddlers can join in for just £5 each.
Many attractions in CBeebies Land are perfectly suited to younger visitors, with several having no height restrictions. Highlights include the gentle In the Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, the cheerful Bugbies Go Round carousel, Postman Pat Parcel Post, the classic Royal Carousel, and the scenic Skyride, which glides high above the park with expansive views.
One adult accompanied by one toddler can stay for the day for £29
Additional toddlers are just £5 per child for more affordable fun on off-peak dates
Apart from the rides themselves, CBeebies Land offers a full programme of live entertainment and hands-on play. Little ones can enjoy Big Fun Showtime, Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge, the Something Special Sensory Garden, JoJo and Gran Gran at Home, and Andy’s Adventure Dinosaur Dig, all designed to help young visitors play, explore and develop new skills.
The Parent and Toddler Day Passes are available to purchase through the Alton Towers website, though families should note that certain dates are excluded from the offer.
For families seeking something slightly different, Wowcher’s Theme Park Breaks might prove ideal. They’re currently offering a Gulliver’s Valley Resort Stay and Theme Park Entry package from £166, with availability during school holidays for families of four seeking an adventure-filled getaway. If outdoor pursuits appeal to your household, a National Trust Family Membership represents excellent value at £103 per year.
Alton Towers has earned glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, with visitors describing it as ‘magical’. One delighted visitor said: “Amazing. I have no words. If you want to have a fun day with family or friends or just on your own. Alton Towers is the place. It’s a must!”
Another delighted guest commented: “What a fantastic day out with the family! Not been there in years but we have had the most fantastic time at the theme park. Clean and today the kids absolutely had the most wonderful time on all the rides.”
However, not all visitors shared the same enthusiasm. One frustrated guest observed: “As expected, when you go to a theme park they are very long queues. What you don’t expect is no seating on a two hour queue. Waiting is not a problem, standing for two hours for one ride with no chance to sit down and rest your legs and back, really is!”
The £29 Parent and Toddler Day Pass is only available to purchase online through the Alton Towers website.
