Donald Trump has once again criticised Keir Starmer over the UK prime minister’s actions at the start of the Iran war. Trump said the UK “should have acted a lot faster” in allowing the US access to British bases to strike Iranian missile sites targeting the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said: “I was surprised because the relationship is so good. But this has never happened before…they didn’t want us to use the island, the so called island..I was a little surprised at the UK. They should have acted a lot faster.”
The Hill reporter Julia Manchester said the Orange Manbaby confirmed he had chatted to Keir Starmer about the matter.

Last week Donald Trump claimed that Sir Keir Starmer has made a “big mistake” in his reaction to US requests for support in the Iran war. This comes as he implied that the “good” trade deal he brokered with the UK “probably wasn’t appreciated”.
Trump repeated his criticism of Sir Keir’s position on the conflict, accusing him once again of not providing enough military support.
The president has urged allied nations to supply ships to assist in opening the Strait of Hormuz and has criticised Sir Keir for so far refusing to commit the Royal Navy.
Trump told journalists: “Well, he hasn’t been supportive, and I think it’s a big mistake.

“You know, they make a lot of money on trade with the United States. I went out of my way. As you know, they couldn’t make a deal with Biden, because they had no real administration to make a deal, Biden. But we made a deal. We made a good deal for them and, frankly, probably wasn’t appreciated.
“I do look forward to seeing the King. He’s going to be coming, as you know, very shortly, but, no, I was disappointed, because Keir was willing to send two aircraft carriers after we won, because essentially… there’s no threat for the aircraft carriers right now.”
