Andrew has been visited by his first royal guest at Wood Farm, Norfolk, for a ‘quiet word’ about his new permanent home leading to calls bailiffs should be sent to disgraced duke’s new abode
King Charles has been urged to send Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor “to the bailiffs” following the latest developments concerning his first royal guest at his new Norfolk residence.
The disgraced former Duke of York was reportedly visited by his brother, Prince Edward, for a “quiet word” regarding his relocation to his final home in exile. Andrew was relocated to Norfolk in February after troubling revelations about his connections with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein surfaced in the most recent batch of documents released by the US.
He has consistently denied any wrongdoing. He is currently residing temporarily at Wood Farm while renovations are completed at the neighbouring Marsh Farm.
However, the disgraced royal seemed to be “dragging his heels” regarding his move to his permanent new residence and met with Edward, who was supposed to stay at Wood Farm this week but was unable to due to his brother’s continued presence there, according to The Sun.
The latest developments have sparked discussion amongst royal supporters, with one commenting online: “He should be so lucky! He has been ‘gifted’ Wood Farm which is worth around £60 million and yet this mummy’s boy still behaves in an entitled manner by refusing to move. To be perfectly honest, if I were the King I’d just send in the bailiffs and have him forcibly removed.”
The former prince has been shunned by his entire family since he was ousted from Royal Lodge, Windsor, at the beginning of February due to his Jeffrey Epstein connections.
A friend revealed: “Prince Edward was the first and only member of the Royal Family to visit. Andrew has been ignored by everyone since he left Royal Lodge, including his daughters and ex-wife who have kept their distance. Edward has already publicly expressed his concern for the victims.”
Palace insiders have consistently suggested that Andrew must be settled in his permanent new residence, Marsh Farm, by the Easter weekend. The King declined to meet with Andrew when he stayed just a mile away from Wood Farm at Sandringham last month. Prince William and Kate, who are holidaying nearby on the royal estate at Anmer Hall, also kept their distance this week.
Daughters Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, haven’t visited their father since he was covertly moved out of Royal Lodge in Windsor under the cover of night in February. Ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 66, has been laying low, presumably overseas, since she too was ousted from the 30-room mansion.
