EXCLUSIVE: Taila Maddison, 28, has been flogging saucy snaps for a while in a bid to make cash. Even though she loves her job, she didn’t expect her step-dad to become her best customer
Lots of people flog saucy snaps in a bid to make money, but sometimes we don’t know what’s really going on behind closed doors. One woman who knows this all too well is Taila Maddison as she discovered her step-dad was her top subscriber.
After just two months in the job, Taila, who has over 50,000 followers on Instagram, had one subscriber who persistently talked to her every day and purchased all sorts of racy content. Then, one day, Taila got a TikTok notification saying someone with the same username as this subscriber had viewed her account, and she soon discovered they were actually a phone contact.
Taila, 28, did some digging, and was horrified to discover that this subscriber was a lot closer to home than she realised. It turns out, it was her step-dad of 13 years, and they were living under the same roof.
She explained: “My step-dad was always very quiet, very much in the background. Despite being in my life since I was 11, he never really had a father-figure role, and it never, ever occurred to me that he would be someone that would subscribe.
“This one subscriber would talk to me every single day, and he would always be tipping me and unlocking new content. The thing he requested most was to know what underwear I was wearing to work every single day.
“In two months, he had spent $2,000 AUS (around £1,030) on me. Then one day I got a TikTok notification saying someone with the same username as this subscriber on OnlyFans had viewed my profile.
“What was really odd to me was that TikTok notified me saying that this person was in my contacts, and then I realised that since I’ve had the same number since I was 12, it had to be someone I knew. I immediately assumed it was someone I went to high school with.”
Taila, from Newcastle, Australia, said he made a TikTok with the same username as his OnlyFans username and was viewing her profile. When she worked out it could be him, she confronted him without even being certain, but she claimed he later confirmed it by texting her within minutes asking to “have a chat”.
She added: “I told my sisters and my mum straight away on the phone and he was messaging me asking to call me. My mum told me to call him and she wanted to listen in on the whole conversation.
“By the time he got home about 30 minutes after this, she was already packing his things for him to leave.”
Explaining how the situation impacted her job, she said: “I definitely had second thoughts about doing [this], and all of my family wanted me to stop. I didn’t work on the site for a couple of weeks following this, and I was really considering stopping.
“I had to deal with my emotions and the betrayal before I could make the decision to keep going. I still don’t speak to one of my aunties as she wanted me to stop and I didn’t, but everybody else in the family is more accepting now.”
Taila admitted she had to work to find peace with what happened. In a way, she said she’s “grateful” that she went through this in order for him to be out of her family’s lives.
Even so, it’s still an ongoing process. She confessed she still gets chills whenever she sees someone who looks a little bit like him.
“I have had to detach from taking responsibility and blame for it,” she added. “I am coping fine with it now. I think I’m quite numb to it, and I just look at the positives that came from this entire situation.
“Work is amazing. I’m so happy that I continued to follow this path. This was just a hurdle that I had to get over and it made me stronger.”
