A pair of full-time swingers had their secret double life blown wide open after a seriously awkward run-in at a saucy couples club.
Zoe Grey, a model on Babestation, often shares insights from her real-life swinging lifestyle with viewers – but she and her partner Matt thought they had kept their bedroom adventures firmly under wraps from friends and family.
But their secret was thrown into the spotlight when a night out took a very unexpected turn. The pair had headed to a local swingers venue for some fun when they clocked a familiar face behind the bar.
To their horror – and slight amusement – it was the wife of one of Matt’s close friends serving drinks. What followed was a moment of panic for Matt and pure excitement for Zoe, as they realised the cat might finally be out of the bag.
And sure enough, the discovery soon pushed them to confess everything to their stunned friendship group. “It was quite refreshing not having to hide something but Matt was sh**ing himself,” said Zoe, who has 95,200 Instagram followers, @itszoe_grey.
She added: “It was his friend’s wife, so that wasn’t an ideal situation, but at the same time it was. He thought, ‘well she’s gonna go home, gobbling off to her husband’ but it really wasn’t like that.
“It gave us a little bit of a push to make it a bit more known – all I could think was ‘this is going to be so good.'” The couple – who share four kids – now both work in the adult industry.
But long before their X-rated careers took off, they were secretly exploring the world of swinging behind closed doors. As Zoe’s confidence grew, she began sharing stories from their secret lifestyle with viewers during her early webcam work.
Her candid chats about swinging quickly caught attention, with intrigued fans asking questions – and even requesting to role play similar scenarios in private sessions.
She said: “People were fascinated by it. I’d be talking about things we’d done and they’d want to know everything. Some of them would even want to role play those situations with me in private shows – it definitely opened people’s eyes.”
Their journey started when Matt first floated the idea of opening up their relationship, with the pair both curious to experiment. Despite the excitement, the former soldier was understandably nervous before their first visit to a club – especially as it was close to home.
Zoe, meanwhile, could barely contain herself. Zoe said: “Matt was very nervous about the first club experience because we went to one quite local to us.
“At the time we weren’t really making it a known thing, especially when we first started swinging. We weren’t in the porn industry, it was something we wanted to keep quite private so he was quite nervous about being seen.
“But if you bump into somebody that you know they’re there for the same reason, it’s one of those. I couldn’t hide my excitement.”
But the couple’s privacy didn’t last long. On just their third visit to the club, they came face-to-face with their pal’s wife behind the bar.
Within days, the pair decided to come clean to their mates about their lifestyle – and the reaction was not what they expected. Rather than being shocked or judgemental, most of their friends were simply fascinated.
Seven years later, Zoe says their love life is still a regular topic of conversation among their pals. The Babestation model said: “They are so intrigued and they just ask questions about our relationship.
“Even seven years later they’re still prying into it and are fascinated. People aren’t as judgy as you think they’re going to be.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong, you do get some people that think it’s absolutely disgusting. But nine times out of ten people are just curious.”
Opening up about their lifestyle didn’t just boost their confidence as a couple – it also ended up changing their careers. As her following grew on Babestation, Zoe realised there was a huge audience drawn to her openness about swinging – and demand quickly spilled over into her wider adult content.
Before long, fans – and even fellow adult stars – were flooding their inbox with messages asking to collaborate. Zoe added: “I put a picture of my face on social media after me and Matt had got intimate.
“It kind of blew up from there because he’s got a bit of a unique thing going for him. He has a massive load and there were girls messaging me asking to work with him.
“We thought ‘okay, this could work here’ and he started to do his own thing alongside his full-time job. Matt, who shares content online, has since built his own following alongside Zoe.
“Then last year he was able to quit his old job and pursue this full time.”
