Russians are urging Vladimir Putin to demolish Westminster Bridge in retaliation for British drones “destroying a Russian-held crossing in a Ukrainian operation”.

Dramatic footage captured the moment of the explosion on the Konka, a tributary of the River Dnipro. The strike occurred in March last year but it has only now been revealed that Ukraine deployed British Malloy T-150 heavy-lift drones to cause chaos on the bridge.

The disclosure has enraged the Russians. Moscow state media propagandist and British “expert” Vladimir Kornilov stated it was “noteworthy how the British openly boast about their participation in acts of sabotage on Russian territory.” In reality, the explosion took place on Ukrainian territory under international law – though invaded by Putin.

He proclaimed: “It’s high time we started bragging: ‘Russian missiles destroyed the key Westminster Bridge’. Of course, the Houthis or the Iranians will be the ones doing the hitting!”

Kornilov grumbled that “the British are practically choking with delight at their direct involvement in the terrorist attack”. He questioned what the British would “sing about” if Westminster Bridge – adjacent to the Houses of Parliament – was demolished.

The crossing has long been a point of Russian interest. A photograph shows Putin glamour spy Anna Chapman on Westminster Bridge before she was apprehended in New York by the FBI, and promptly stripped of her UK citizenship.

Another outlet loyal to Putin, Tsargrad, proclaimed: “The British are literally gushing with delight about their direct involvement in the terrorist attack… Isn’t it time to shift the strikes to the decision-making centre after such a candid admission?”

The blast on the Konka bridge was initially thought to be a simple aerial strike. However, it’s now revealed that Ukraine’s innovative 426th Unmanned Systems Regiment utilised the heavy-lifting drone on over 30 missions across 60 days, delivering an astonishing 1.5 tons of explosives while evading Russian forces.

“Bridges are relatively easy to destroy from underneath,” stated Ukrainian Col. Oleksii Bulakhov, the regiment’s commander. “But they are engineered in a way that makes them extremely robust from the outside.”

A 50kg shaped charge was lowered by cable onto the bridge’s weakest points. A missile then ignited the explosives in one of the significant operations of the four-year war.
