A video showing a police officer in an awkward predicament has taken social media by storm. In the viral clip, under the title “School Kids Lock Police Officer into a shopping Kart/Trolley!” appears to show a group of school kids surrounding a uniformed “police officer” who is sitting, folded up, inside a metal shopping trolley.

The setting looks like an outdoor public area such as a car park, with the trolley positioned on flat ground as the youths gather around it.

Additionally, in the clip, the teens can be seen laughing and jeering as the person in uniform remains stuck in the trolley.

The video quickly sparked divided and heated reactions as an X user (formerly known as Twitter) wrote: “Who the f— is filming this and why aren’t they kicking the f—— s— out of these kids??” A person wrote: “Not at all surprised they are British.”

Someone else penned: “How about getting off your phone and decking the little s—- and help the officer????” An additional viewer asked: “Why is no one coming to save him.”

A commentator added: “Sums up our country that no one stepped in. No respect these days or b——- in over half the population.

“Terrible parenting is mainly to blame for our problems.” A separate individual chimed in: “How on earth does a police officer get into this situation against a group of kids?

“Absolute state of this country atm.” Nevertheless, others wondered if the scene was staged.

Audio shared with versions of the video includes the youths telling the man to “stay in there” and making remarks suggesting he should not return, while the “officer” appears to play along by looking distressed. Some uploads circulate as part of a sequence, with follow-up clips claiming to show the same group eventually letting him out or “rescuing” him.

Eventually, X attached a Community Note stating that readers had added context, saying the clip was a staged prank by content creator Jarvo69. The influencer, who has since been identified as Daniel Jarvis, made headlines last year when he invaded the pitch at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium and brazenly lined up with the Australia team during the national anthem before England’s rugby league Test against the Kangaroos.

The pitch invader was arrested in Liverpool and was caught live on BBC One’s TV coverage, the BBC reported at the time. Jarvo69, is a British prankster and YouTuber from Gravesend, Kent, who has built a reputation for disrupting high-profile sporting events.
