A property specialist has offered his opinion on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s recent house relocation and what might lie ahead for the former Prince. The 66 year old moved into his new residence, Marsh Farm, on the Sandringham Estate last week after several weeks of refurbishments.

King Charles’ brother was spotted in fresh photographs strolling with his dog close to the dwelling on April 6, seeming to be familiarising himself with his new environment.

Refurbishments at the former prince’s new residence are believed to have encompassed the fitting of a new security barrier, CCTV systems, carpeting, window coverings, and Sky TV.

According to Elliot Castle, CEO of We Buy Any Home, the expense of updating the dwelling could have reached a six-figure amount. “From a property perspective, this looks far more like a managed family arrangement than a typical move,” he told us.

“Marsh Farm appears to have been prepared specifically for Andrew, with privacy and security front of mind, so it’s unlikely to be a short-term stop.”, reports the Mirror.

“Renovating a rural property to that standard is not cheap,” he added. “Once you factor in interiors, structural updates and high-end security, costs can quickly run into the six-figure range, particularly on an estate setting.”

Elliot believes the residence “could easily” become Andrew’s permanent base following his exit from Royal Lodge last year. And, with a report from Page Six claiming Sarah is “effectively homeless”, Elliot said she could potentially rejoin Andrew at his new dwelling.

Identifying two potential reasons for a reunion – “security” and “routine” – he went on: “As for Sarah Ferguson, it wouldn’t be unusual from a property standpoint for former partners to share a living arrangement, especially where security and routine are involved. Whether she joins him is personal, but it’s certainly feasible,” he shared.

“Her ability to live there would depend on the nature of Andrew’s occupation and whether consent is required.”

Following King Charles launching the formal procedure to strip his brother of his remaining royal titles and honours, Buckingham Palace also issued notice for him to give up his lease on Royal Lodge.

The moves came after years of examination over his connections to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, though Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

Speaking about Andrew’s future, the property expert added: “Once that level of investment has gone in, people tend to settle rather than move again. It may not carry the same status as Royal Lodge, but it could work very well as a permanent home.”

Andrew previously occupied the Royal Lodge with his former wife Sarah Ferguson, who has not been spotted in public for several months since purported emails between her and Epstein emerged in the US Department of Justice’s Epstein files.

Sarah is reported to have exchanged several emails with the offender following his 2008 sex crime conviction. A spokesperson for the mother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie maintained that some of the emails were dispatched under duress and did not represent her genuine sentiments. Appearing in the documents does not constitute proof of any misconduct.
