Plusnet is paying new customers £125 when they join.

Plusnet is offering customers £125 to switch from their existing provider, but the offer isn’t around for long. To get the deal, customers simply need to sign up for Plusnet’s Full Fibre 900 package.

This is the provider’s speediest broadband service, offering average download speeds of 900Mb for £31.99 monthly. It’s also discounted by £48 across the 24-month plan, having dropped from the usual £33.99.

Anyone claiming the reduced plan can get a reward card loaded with £125 to use online and at many high street shops and supermarkets accepting Mastercard. However, Plusnet has confirmed customers must sign up by May 6 to claim the deal.

The provider also dishes out reward cards with its more affordable broadband deals, including £75 with Full Fibre 145 and Full Fibre 300. Plusnet additionally waives activation charges on any of these broadband-only contracts, which don’t require a phone line.

It’s also enrolled in the One Touch Switch programme, meaning customers needn’t contact their existing provider to handle the transfer. Bear in mind though that Plusnet has confirmed its monthly broadband costs will increase by £4 annually on March 31 as part of the standard annual price rise, reports the Express.

The same applies to competing providers like BT, which is currently offering three months of free fibre broadband in its own promotion. These come at a slightly steeper cost than Plusnet, beginning at 74Mbps for £31.99 following the introductory offer.

Meanwhile, Virgin Media‘s fibre broadband kicks off at 132Mbps for £23.99, though this provider offers less extensive coverage compared to those utilising the Openreach infrastructure, including BT and Plusnet. The latter has earned recognition as a Which? Recommended broadband supplier and Uswitch’s top broadband provider for customer care.

The company has also garnered impressive feedback on Trustpilot, where one five-star review says: “Easy transfer, great customer service and excellent speeds.”

Another says: “Easiest changeover ever. I have to say, as a former telecommunications engineer, this was the easiest and seamless changeover I’ve ever had with a provider. Plug and play and easy controls for setup of own equipment.”

While commending Plusnet’s performance and customer support, this reviewer deducted a star due to an activation delay. They said: “Recently swapped from Sky, speeds are better and so far customer service is too. Let me know when it should have been swapped over (was a day late), but other than that, all good.”

However, another enthusiastic review says: “Been with Plusnet for about ten years, never had a problem, and I’ve moved twice. Everything has always been fantastic, and the service has never gone down. Customer service is also nice, helpful people.”
