Police have warned the public not to approach a “dangerous” missing man that they are urgently searching for following a woman’s “suspicious” death
Police have issued a warning, telling the public not to approach a “dangerous” missing man that they are urgently searching for.
Grant McKinnon was last seen in Cardowan Road, Glasgow, at 4am on Saturday morning (18 April), the same time police were called to the “suspicious” death of a woman in the area. Police were initially called to the Carntyne area of the city after a woman was reportedly found “injured”, although she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland have not confirmed if the two incidents are linked. Anyone who has seen McKinnon, who is 30, has been told not to approach him and instead to call 999 immediately. He is around 6ft tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket with a red hood and blue jeans.
Detective superintendent Gary Ferguson said: “Grant is considered to be dangerous and I’m appealing for information from the public to help us trace him as soon as possible.
“If anyone sees Grant, they should not approach him but contact police immediately.
“Anyone with information on where he may be, or anyone who thinks they’ve seen him since the early hours of Saturday morning, should call 999 urgently quoting reference 0523 of April 18.
“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
