Donald Trump has shared Queen Camilla’s reaction to the revamped Oval Office during a speech at The Forum Club of the Palm Beaches Dinner in Florida on May 1. The 79 year old president touched on various subjects, including the conflict in Iran and the economy, before recalling Camilla’s visit to the Oval Office.

The Queen and King Charles had recently concluded a four-day trip to the US, their first as reigning monarchs, during which Trump hosted them at Blair House in Washington, DC.

Trump boasted about the Oval Office, saying: “I’ll be in the Oval Office – the beautiful, most powerful, most incredible office in the world – people walk in, and they say, ‘Wow.'” He claimed that even the Queen was impressed, saying: “The biggest people in the world, even the Queen, the other day, she walked in with King Charles.”

According to Trump, Camilla exclaimed, “Wow, this is the Oval Office,” and he found it “very cool” coming from the Queen of England. This revelation came shortly after a behind-the-scenes photo caught Trump in an awkward moment with Melania, just a short distance from the royal couple.

Trump continued his remarks, explaining that he gave the Oval Office the “Mar-a-Lago treatment,” drawing parallels with his restoration of the private club he has owned since 1985, which he claimed is now “better than it’s ever been.”

During his second stint in the White House, Trump gave the Oval Office a luxurious makeover, incorporating an abundance of gold accents. The revamped space boasts gold ceiling trim adorned with a presidential design, gilded door frames, a fireplace, and cherub sculptures painted entirely in gold.

Outside the Oval Office, gold signage was erected, while custom-made golden coasters featuring Trump’s name and presidential number – 47 – were also added to the room’s decor. The space is now filled with an assortment of gold statues and ornaments, alongside numerous presidential portraits displayed in gold frames, all set against a predominantly gold and white colour scheme, reports the Irish Star.
