Donald Trump was making remarks during a small business summit at the White House when he veered off topic several times to talk about the ongoing Trump Iran War, calling it a “mini war” and boasting about destroying 159 of Iran’s ships
Donald Trump cautioned that World War III would have erupted if he wasn’t president, as he labelled his conflict with Iran, which has already resulted in thousands of fatalities, as merely a “mini war.”
The president made these comments during a small business summit at the White House on Monday, where he frequently digressed to discuss his joint war with Israel against Iran. Initially, Trump described the conflict as a “military operation.”
Later in his speech, he conceded that the nation is at war. “Like, we have a war right now. And we’re into like what six weeks?” he stated. Trump, who initially forecasted that the war with Iran would last four to five weeks, proceeded to justify the current timeline amidst stalled peace negotiations.
“They said, ‘What’s taking so long?’ We were in Vietnam 19 years, we were in Iraq for many years, 10 years, 12 years. We were in all these different wars. Korea, seven years. I won’t even mention World War II, that’s a big baby,” he informed the gathering of small business owners.
“But you have the wrong person up here, you’ll be in World War III. As sure as you’re sitting there,” Trump proclaimed. “You have the wrong person up there, it’s nasty and tricky. It’s tricky out there. We have to have the right people, and they have to be sharp and they have to be smart,” he warned, reports the Express US.
Attempting to steer the conversation back towards small businesses, he continued: “Because one thing about your business is, small businesses are great, but if you don’t have the platform, meaning the country, meaning the right principles, the right everything.”
However, it wasn’t long before Trump deviated from the topic and returned to discussing the Iran war. “Our country is booming now, despite the fact that we’re in a, I call it a mini war, because that’s all they are,” he said.
“They don’t have a navy anymore,” he declared, boasting about the destruction of 159 of Iran’s ships. Trump then referred to the decision to obliterate the ships as a “minor detail.
“I actually got very upset, I said, ‘How quality were the ships?’ They were very good. I said ‘Why didn’t you just take the ship? Why do you have to send it to the bottom of the sea?’ We could have had, let’s say, out of the 159, we could have taken 59,” he said. “We would have had 59, but they liked, they’d rather blow them up than save them. I would have preferred saving them, but these are minor detail,” he added.
