This is Knight

I’m currently fostering for Pawprints to Freedom, which is a charity that helps dogs in Romania get forever homes. They also have kennels in Cheshire in the UK, and they do help UK dogs also from being euthanasia from the the pound.

I came across this charity online and the work they do is just amazing and really touched my heart. It was started nine years ago by Rebecca Sarah Smyth, and is run by a group of volunteers and all food and shelter for these dogs is done by donations to save and help these dogs that otherwise wouldn’t have a chance at life.

They are currently building a new shelter in Romania and are fundraising for the materials. The way it works is that they transport these dog once they have a foster or adoption offer right to your front door, anywhere in the UK. If your fostering it’s free, all you pay for is food for the dog and they fundraiser for the dogs ticket to UK.

Let me tell you why Romanian dogs need this help, because these dogs are being beaten and starved at public shelters where they are meant to be safe and have no chance at life.

The charity told me about a story of one of the dogs they saved being doused in fuel to be set alight – it’s horrific, these dogs deserve a chance they are so loving and amazing.

So I have a foster dog called Knight (who is currently up for adoption) and he’s got a cropped tail, so it was urgent for him to come over before the new UK law comes in.

He’s the most affectionate amazing puppy, he’s big and bouncy and only seven months old. He was a stray that the charity took in and he has experienced a life that’s been unkind until now.

He was transported to my front door and when he turned up he wouldn’t even make eye contact because he was so scarred but after 24 hours he started to open up and play and live in a house for the first time.

These dogs sleep on concrete and straw in Romania – it’s heartbreaking and have they nothing. The charity is crying out for fosters or adopters to help save more of these beautiful dogs from a life of neglect and, honestly, it’s the most rewarding thing to see these dogs transform into happy loving loyal dogs and actually being free to be a dog.

So if your ever considering fostering or adopting please look up Home | Pawprints to Freedom | Adopt a Rescue Dog today. or donate.

They have puppies, oldies and all kinds of dogs that need a chance. If you can, they need all the help they can get and I promise it’s so worth it – this charity gave full rescue back-up from the minute Knight left Romania.

I’ve had group chats with transport, a behaviour team and any help I needed, Please consider a dog from Romania, even if its just to foster as it saves these poor dogs lives and gives them a chance they never had.
