Rory McIlroy has seen his net worth jump £65m to an eye-watering £325m, making him the seventh richest UK sportsperson according to the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List
Rory McIlroy has added another £65million to his already jaw-dropping wealth, according to the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List.
The golfing superstar has leapt from a net worth of £260m to a mind-boggling £325m, landing at seventh spot on the list of Britain’s wealthiest sportspeople. The Northern Irish ace has been on a remarkable run over the past year and a half.
McIlroy, 37, finally ended his Masters drought in April 2025 and completed a career grand slam, having at last conquered all four of golf’s most coveted majors. He also played a key role in Europe’s Ryder Cup triumph last September at Bethpage Black, New York, in challenging conditions.
This April, he successfully retained his Masters crown, bringing his major haul to six and becoming just the fourth player to claim consecutive victories at the tournament.
Official PGA statistics show that McIlroy is one of merely two golfers with career prize money surpassing £74.2m, sitting behind only Tiger Woods. His overall earnings stand just below £86m.
The Masters 2026 prize fund reached £16.7m, rising from £15.6m in 2025. McIlroy’s latest wealth surge this year will undoubtedly have been bolstered by the £3.3m he collected for his Augusta National triumph last month, reports the Mirror.

He is believed to have earned £21.4m in tournament winnings between April 2025 and April 2026 according to Bunkered – £3.5m of which came from his Players Championship victory in March of last year.
The Northern Irishman also benefits from multiple sponsorship agreements, boosting his earnings from tournament victories. These include, but are not limited to, endorsement deals with Nike and Omega which are reported to bring in approximately £39m annually.
McIlroy’s wealth continues to soar. The 2025 Sunday Times Rich List placed him as the 19th-richest person under 40 in the UK, boasting a net worth of £260m.
This marked an increase of £35m from 2024 when the golfing sensation was valued at £225m. It means that, in less than two years, the Holywood-born star has bolstered his net worth by a staggering £100m.
McIlroy also boasts an impressive property portfolio, including a £16.2m luxury mansion in Jupiter, Florida, where he lives with his wife, Erica Stoll, and their five year old daughter, Poppy. His collection also features a £10.6m estate in California, a flat in New York City and homes in both the UAE and Northern Ireland.
The two-time Masters winner is competing at the PGA Championship this weekend at the Aronimink Golf Club, situated just outside Philadelphia.
While the prize money for the second major of 2026 has yet to be confirmed, McIlroy could pocket another £2.5m should he claim victory, which was the sum earned by last year’s champion, Scottie Scheffler.
