An influencer is allegedly on the run after receiving a three-year prison sentence for fatally striking a personal trainer with her SUV. Shocking footage captures Rosa Iberê Tavares Dantas making a reckless turn at a junction and colliding with Talis Roque da Silva.

Talis, 31, was flung from his motorbike and crashed into a metal pole before hitting the ground, suffering numerous fractures. He was rushed to hospital where medics managed to resuscitate him, but he subsequently died after suffering cardiac arrest.

Dantas, who was 25 at the time, later posted online: “I provided all necessary assistance at the moment it happened.” Yet the footage doesn’t seem to show her providing any aid.

The collision happened in Manaus, Brazil, on 31 August 2023, as reported by NeedToKnow. Dantas received her sentence last week, on 4 May, getting three years behind bars after being found guilty of negligent homicide.

Judge Áldrin Henrique de Castro Rodrigues of the 10th Criminal Court of Manaus determined that she must complete her sentence under a semi-open prison regime.

This means she can work or study outside during daytime hours but must return to a supervised facility each night. She was also handed a fine and prohibited from driving for one and a half years.

Dantas departed Brazil for Madrid, Spain, while the legal proceedings were ongoing and is now regarded as a fugitive from justice.

Her name has been entered onto Brazil’s National Register of Arrest Warrants, and officials have also alerted Interpol. Prior to the accident, Dantas routinely advertised her tobacco shop and swimwear business to her 50,000-plus followers.

She also regularly posted about her exercise regime and nutritious diet, alongside trips, upmarket dining, and social events with mates.

She kept exotic animals, including three boa constrictors.

She wrote at the time: “What happened today was a great tragedy. Only God and my family know how my heart is.”

The ruling can still be appealed.
