A former solicitor, who is wanted by UK police for a string of alleged ‘dine and dash’ incidents, was spotted enjoying a day out at Disneyland. Kerry Stevens, 40, failed to appear in court at least nine times and is currently the subject of four arrest warrants.

The ex lawyer is now thought to be residing with a relative in the Lorraine region of France. Stevens, originally from Southend, Essex, posted on Facebook on May 18 donning Mickey Mouse ears and clutching a bubble-wand, believed to be at Disneyland Paris.

A family friend alleged that Stevens fled earlier this year after not showing up in court, despite her family’s pleas for her to stay put. They said: “The police came looking for her again and her mum had to tell them she’d gone.”

Stevens hit the headlines when she was first identified for allegedly targeting restaurants and taxi firms – with photos circulating online of her in a legal wig and gown. The mother-of-one was charged with eleven counts of making off without payment and one count of shoplifting in 2024.

She denies the charges and is set to stand trial later this year. Stevens and her partner Daniel Alani were initially investigated by police in relation to a dine and dash incident where regulars prevented a couple from bolting from a pub without paying.

The pair were accused of doing a runner from The Castle Inn without settling their £62.20 bill, after tucking into prawn cocktail, breaded mushrooms and two roast chicken dinners with extra lamb. They also quenched their thirst with two cokes, an orange juice and a medium glass of pinot wine.

Ken Todd, the landlord of The Castle Inn in Little Wakering, previously stated: “For the sake of £62, if they came in and were starving I’d just give them the food.

“The man tried to leave through the back door of the pub which I had already locked and apparently the woman tried to escape by the bathroom window.”

Steve Yeung, from The Pearl Dragon restaurant, in Eastern Esplanade, also alleged that the duo had skipped out on a £127 bill.

They had allegedly polished off four starters, four main courses and up to eight soft drinks. It’s also believed that the pair have been duping taxi drivers, with numerous cabbies being allegedly cheated out of fares.
