Vladimir Putin’s state media puppets have launched a chilling new tirade against the West, calling for the total destruction of London, Berlin and Copenhagen. The terrifying call was issued on Russian state television, where Kremlin mouthpieces openly weighed up the annihilation of Europe’s major capitals.

During the broadcast, notorious TV host Vladimir Solovyov told viewers: “I will tell you honestly, I love Europe a lot, I love America, but for me there is no choice: who needs the world if Russia isn’t in it?”

Echoing the apocalyptic sentiment, Margarita Simonyan, the head of state-controlled network RT, warned that “an escalation is inevitable.”

Solovyov then doubled down on the threats, claiming that Russia has no intention of capturing European territories, only obliterating them.

He added: “The way the current war is, we won’t take Berlin, but we might destroy it. It’s pointless to take it. Western military experts understand it well that neither Berlin, London, or Copenaghen, are capable of defending themselves.”

The bloodcurdling rhetoric comes as the military threat inches closer to home, reports the Express.. A pair of Russian naval vessels, including a frigate armed with cruise missiles, have been caught lurking just off the British coastline.

The i newspaper reports that the two ships have been working in tandem, aggressively approaching British waters three times over the last two months.

They have reportedly been positioning themselves suspiciously close to critical UK infrastructure while being closely shadowed by the Royal Navy.

The vessels have been identified as the RFN Admiral Grigorovich, a formidable 4,035-ton Russian Navy frigate, and a 122-metre support workshop vessel.

The duo were recently tracked operating near the Galloper wind farm off the coast of Suffolk.

In response to the escalating maritime tension, Prime Minister Keir Starmer confirmed that British commandos have now been greenlit to intercept and board vessels belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet as they navigate UK waters.

Moscow’s shadow fleet is believed to comprise over 1,000 ageing, poorly maintained tankers.

The rogue ships fly under various foreign flags to illicitly smuggle oil and resources out of Russia, explicitly designed to bypass the strict economic sanctions slapped on the Kremlin since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
