England have a new fan at the World Cup – Hollywood actress Alexandra Daddario.

The 40-year-old beauty is best known for roles alongside Sydney Sweeney in The White Lotus and in films such as Baywatch and Wildflower. But she’s now seemingly starring in a new supporting role for the Three Lions.

Daddario snapped several pictures and videos of herself inside Foxborough Stadium as England drew 0-0 with Ghana on Tuesday. Wearing a replica England shirt and baseball cap, the brunette bombshell looked every bit a Three Lions fanatic as she cheered on Thomas Tuchel’s men in Boston.

She even managed to snap a picture with England icon David Beckham, albeit the former Manchester United man was a few rows higher up in the VIP seats. Becks appeared to give the New Yorker a thumbs-up – which is probably more than he could muster for the performance on the pitch.

Expectations were high after England’s opening 4-2 win against Croatia last week. The Three Lions looked full of attacking gusto in Dallas, but that didn’t translate on Tuesday night when a more stifled showing produced a disappointing 0-0 draw against Ghana.

Harry Kane and co. still have qualification in their own hands and look likely to head through as group winners regardless, barring an almighty shock against Panama on Saturday night. But the stalemate has tempered expectations somewhat – which is less than can be said for the comments section of Daddario’s post.

One Instagram user wrote: “The best an England kit has ever looked.” And plenty of others agreed. A second said: “Ahhhh!! Living the life! You look beautiful!” While a third chimed in on a similar note, adding: “Never seen an England shirt look so good!!”

Bizarrely, even the official Durex account joined in. They commented: “Bend me it’s Beckham.” Proving once and for all that even in a dead-rubber there’s still something to enjoy.

On the pitch England now turn their attentions to Panama in New York on Saturday night. The Three Lions will be in action at 10pm – just like their Group L rivals Croatia and Ghana who kick off at the same time.
