A woman has tragically been discovered dead in a car on a UK street. Officers rushed to Sunnylaw Street in the Possilpark district of the city following a report of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle at 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 24.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 50-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Police are currently treating her death as unexplained and investigations into the circumstances continue. The area remains sealed off by police, reports the Daily Record.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated: “Around 11.15pm on Wednesday, 24 June, 2026, we received a report of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle on Sunnylaw Street in Glasgow. Emergency services attended however the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin is aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
