Powerlifter flooded with offers from men wanting to buy her used gym shorts

A powerlifter was left stunned after being flooded with messages from men offering cash for her used gym shorts following an embarrassing workout mishap. Peta Emery says she never expected anyone to take her seriously when she joked about selling the shorts in a TikTok video after a training session.

But the content creator claims her inbox quickly filled with offers from followers keen to get their hands on the gym gear. The athlete, who has amassed over 460,000 followers on Instagram @‌power_midget, says the bizarre requests are just one example of the unusual gym-related messages she receives from fans.

Peta said: “A lot of girls wet themselves doing heavy weights, particularly squats and deadlifts.

“I once made a jokey TikTok saying, ‘Who wants to buy these shorts?’ because I’d had to change out of them after training. I had so many DMs offering to buy them.

“I thought people would realise I was joking. I didn’t expect anyone to actually want them.”

Peta says the unusual requests are far from a one-off, with followers regularly asking to buy items of gym clothing she has worn during workouts. She said: “People ask for gym stuff a lot.”

“They want to buy my gym wear. Gym socks are another thing.

“Loads of people want my gym socks.” Peta says her powerlifting content has helped build a loyal following online.

While many fans simply enjoy watching her train, others are interested in much more niche requests, which can cause logistical problems. She said: “People really like gym content.

“But it’s hard because I don’t have a gym to film in apart from my local gym, and I’m not filming porn in my local gym.” Peta says she is often recognised while working out and regularly receives messages from people who have spotted her training.

“The owner of the gym knows what I do,” she said. We laugh about it.

“I’ve had messages from other members being like, ‘Oh, you train at my gym’. There’s a gym group that I occasionally go to for cardio and I get messages from people in there all the time like, ‘Oh, I saw you in my gym today’.”

The powerlifter says her strength has also made domination-style content particularly popular with fans. Domination-style content is probably some of my best-selling stuff,” Peta said.

“I’ve actually booked a BDSM dungeon this week to film with another Domme creator. We’re going to go there and film together because that latex domination content always does really, really well.”

Despite the unusual requests, Peta says she takes most of it in her stride. It doesn’t bother me, each to their own,” she added.
