Arsenal are exploring a sensational swoop for Vinicius Jr. The Athletic reports that the Gunners have declared their interest in the Brazil international with negotiations in their early stages.
Real have no intention of losing the winger on a free transfer next summer with only 12 months left on his contract. They are equally reluctant to pay Vini’s loyalty bonus should he complete the remainder of his deal.
It is understood that no dialogue has taken place between the clubs as yet but the Arsenal leadership are prepared to pursue the prospective transfer.
Yan Diomande talks emerge
Real Madrid are advancing in their chase for Yan Diomande after an £85.4m offer was turned down by RB Leipzig. However, talkSPORT suggests that negotiations over a transfer to Spain are moving swiftly.
This development emerges just days after Arsenal expressed interest in signing the 19 year old following his standout debut season in Germany. Diomande’s World Cup exploits with the Ivory Coast have also boosted his market value, but it appears Real are leading the race.
It’s believed that their initial proposal consisted of £76.9m upfront plus £8.5m in potential add-ons. Now, the Spanish titans are preparing to table an enhanced bid and are optimistic about securing the winger’s services, which could have a knock on impact to Vini’s future.
Surprise Spurs swoop
Arsenal have joined Chelsea in contemplating a surprise swoop for Tottenham’s Cristian Romero. Italian media reports suggest that both London rivals are eyeing the defender, who carries a price tag of £42m.
While a cross-town transfer seems improbable, Arsenal are scouting for another defender with William Saliba out of action due to a back problem. Romero is tied to Spurs until 2029, but there’s anticipation that he’ll exit the club this summer.
Inter are also expressing interest in the centre-back and have engaged in discussions with his representatives about a potential deal. The Italian side are favouring a loan arrangement with a compulsory purchase clause.
